This course will prepare you for the the Overseas Registration Exam (ORE), which you will need to pass if you wish to treat patients in the UK unsupervised but you have qualified as a dentist outside the European Economic Area.
Once you have passed the ORE, you will be eligible to register with the General Dental Council of the UK and start treating patients. The College of Medicine and Dentistry will assist you in finding a job after successful completion of the MSc in Advanced General Dental Practice.
The course fosters intellectual and clinical development of dentists allowing them to extend and deepen their analytical and practical skills which underpin their daily practice.
You will learn with the most advanced dentistry education providers, and we ensure you receive a rounded and robust education and through delivering in-depth seminars, interactive problem-based scenarios, and simulated clinical training to reach a high level of proficiency.
The course aims to graduate confident senior practitioners able to do effective evidence-based practice within complex multidisciplinary teams. It also aims to equip practitioners with appropriate skills to treat challenging general dental cases.
Distance Learning and Blended Learning Applicants: Undergraduate Degree in Dentistry, and Current GDC registration (for UK applicants only) or equivalent for international students, and Applicants will need to demonstrate evidence of professional indemnity cover, and Health clearance to be able to perform clinical practice, and Current evidence of satisfactory DBS check. Full Time Applicants: Undergraduate Degree in Dentistry, and Letter of good standing or equivalent from an appropriate regulatory dental body, and Applicants will need to demonstrate evidence of professional indemnity cover.
