On this flexible course youll develop advanced practical skills and learn how to apply the latest clinical techniques and scientific thinking to the rehabilitation of injured footballers.

This is a very practical and flexible course, designed for those who work, or aspire to work, in the fields of football, medicine and science. Developed in consultation with clinical partners, including the Football Medical Association, the content of this course is especially designed to enhance the skills of current and aspiring GPs, physiotherapists, sports therapists, sports scientists and others in similar roles.

Youll develop the practical skills needed to rehabilitate injured football players and enhance the condition, fitness and performance of non-injured players using safe and effective methods informed by the latest scientific thinking. Youll gain an advanced understanding of the key theories and concepts related to the training, physical development and rehabilitation of players, as well as sport and exercise procedures used in evaluating and monitoring fitness and performance.

Engaging with cutting-edge practice and the latest scientific research, youll be well placed to initiate positive change and advance the profession of football and sports rehabilitation when you graduate. As you progress through the course, youll gain the confidence to communicate scientific and clinical information to both specialist and non-specialist audiences and devise effective rehabilitation programmes.
