The University offers a strong academic environment with excellent faculty, lecture rooms, labs, and industry connections. The diverse student community and modern facilities also enhance the learning experience. However, areas for improvement could include providing more career support tailored to international students and expanding study spaces during peak times.

What makes it a great place to study is that the campus is away from the city, so most people live on site. That makes it easier to socialise and go out together, which creates a better community and more fun student life. It could be improved by having more organised events like FED, and using better venues. The venue matters a lot, and having more options than just Sub Zero would make events more enjoyable.

The best aspect of my university experience has been the supportive learning environment and the availability of academic resources. Most lecturers are approachable and willing to help, and the facilities such as the library and online learning platforms make studying more flexible and accessible. The diversity of students and the sense of community also make it a welcoming place to study The worst aspect, however, is that some support services can feel difficult to access or slow during busy periods. Overall, the university is a great place to study because of its academic support, facilities, and inclusive atmosphere

I’ve truly enjoyed my experience at the university. It’s a calm and welcoming place where you can relax, explore, and grow. The people are wonderful, the environment is beautiful, and my course has taught me so much.

One of the best things about my university experience has definitely been the lecturers. They are genuinely passionate about their subjects, which makes lectures so much more engaging. They actively encourage you to ask questions, think more deeply, and explore topics beyond the slides. They’re also always keen to help, whether that’s during office hours or over email, which makes a big difference when you need clarification or extra support. There are also always lots of career-focused events going on, such as CV workshops, career fairs, and employability talks. I found these especially useful because I wasn’t completely sure what I wanted to do after graduating. The atmosphere on campus is very welcoming and friendly. It's easy to meet people, especially since there's loads of sport clubs and societies you can join, and many of them offer taster sessions at the start of term, which makes it less intimidating to try something new. A downside (like it's not absolutely terrible) but it can feel boring at time too because there isn't a huge amount to do locally, (but the campus life usually makes up for it in some sense). I also wish there were more opportunities within my department, particularly in terms of employment, placements, or research projects.

Essex has some of the best available faculties and also the facilities for approximately all the courses which makes it a great option for you university life. As for the worst part there aren’t much events catering different nationalities or events for settling in to the university.
