MSc Crime and Justice

University of South Wales

It’s a great place to study, the library has been helpful especially the usw find it tool online which saves having to visit the library.

The food facilities. The cafe and restaurants are wonderful, I really love existing in them and the food-though expensive-is nice and staff are really pleasant. My timetable works really well, having everything in two days saves me travel money. Perhaps better directions as a way to improve, when new the layout and maps can be quite confusing.

Best aspects would be that the course and content is unique and the lecturers deliver the content amazing. Worst aspect is that the course is no longer running which is a shame

This uni is extremely student oriented and focused. I am a strident rep for my course and whenever we bring up issues at the meetings they are always listened to and dealt with. It’s so easy to speak to a lecturer if you need help. The wellbeing team are fantastic and always on hand. Job opportunities and help with anything to do with employment is easily available. Library is fantastic and I love that the online library has everything I need as I commute from Hereford to the Pontypridd campus, so I never miss out on books or information I need for my assignments. The Pontypridd campus is very accessible by public transport also which is a must for students. The only thing id change is if you do drive a bigger carpark. Sometimes it’s hard to get a parking space. But the cost of parking is super cheap. I’m in my 2nd year and looking forward to dissertation next year which we have had lots of help and support with already. Overall this is a fantastic university.

The thing that makes University of South Wales a good place to study is the staff. All staff members from your course, library etc are so helpful and do the up most best to get the support in which you need to thrive. The course lecturers are very friendly and approachable, When giving feedback on work they are more than happy to giver future in depth feedback as they just want you to achieve the best grade that they know you can. I wish I had come to USW first, I feel at home and relaxed when I am on campus,
