Enhance your Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) qualification. You’ll complete a master’s dissertation to achieve a postgraduate degree in corporate governance. As part of this course, you’ll: Complete your dissertation, an in-depth project focused on enhancing corporate governance practice, supported by an expert tutor Define your own area of investigation, be that corporate governance, compliance or social responsibility and performance Aim to support your professional development and improve the corporate governance of your organisation so it becomes a beacon for good practice Study part-time with the support of an applied business school, so you’re able to fit your studies into your professional schedule Build on your experience This course will enable you to build on your existing knowledge as a graduate of the Chartered Governance Institute, having completed the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme, or a similar qualification. Corporate governance on the agenda Following high-profile organisational scandals, effective corporate governance and the need for transparency and fairness in business is high on the agenda around the world. As a result, organisations are under scrutiny, and pressure is on company secretaries to become more effective in developing good business conduct. This course will give you a holistic perspective of the governance eco-system and challenges. It will enable you to provide more considered solutions to complex business dilemmas. Specialist academic staff will support you as you define and research your dissertation.
Applicants should be a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme (CSQS) or hold a similar qualification. All suitable candidates who meet the entry requirements will be interviewed and required to engage in a pre-course induction session. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional.
