Our Construction Project Management program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to excel in a rapidly evolving industry. On this MSc you’ll gain a comprehensive education that aligns closely with current industry needs. You'll gain expertise in project planning, risk management, and advanced construction techniques, ensuring you're well-prepared to tackle real-world challenges and deliver successful projects. What will I study? On this MSc you’ll develop your current skillset to mirror industry needs and enable you to take the next step up in your career. You’ll learn how to address the complexities encountered in the construction industry as well as be able to look at a development with a holistic approach. This will prepare you for professional roles in managing construction projects by imparting an understanding of both the human and technical aspects essential for project success. Modules will see you delve into the theoretical exploration and practical considerations of the industry. You’ll explore areas such as construction cost management, Building Information Modelling (BIM), project management, construction law, contracts, environmental assessment, supply chain management, and risk management. BNU’s MSc Construction Project Management program is designed to align closely with industry needs and standards. The curriculum includes practical and theoretical knowledge essential for managing construction projects effectively and ensuring you are well-prepared for real-world challenges. In addition to technical, management and leadership knowledge and skills, the programme also focuses on developing employability skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and project management. These skills are essential for success in the workplace and are cultivated through group projects, presentations, and other collaborative activities. Employability is also embedded throughout the course through various professional development initiatives. This may include workshops on resume writing and interview skills, guest lectures, site visits, and industry-sponsored projects, opportunities for networking and professional mentoring from industry experts. Our campus is located in a region with a thriving construction sector. The proximity to London, one of the world’s major construction hubs, further expands the possibilities for career advancement and industry engagement.

Entry requirements

An undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above/equivalent in surveying, construction, civil engineering, real estate, architecture or any other construction subject. In exceptional circumstances, applicants who have relevant professional experience maybe invited to an interview and at which you will be required to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding for entry onto the course. International applicants with 60% average grade in an equivalent overseas qualification in surveying, construction, civil engineering, real estate, architecture or any other construction subject.
