This programme combines the closely related specialties of wound management and dermatology and is unique. The MSc Clinical Skin Integrity and Wound Management offers students a range of wound and skin integrity related modules that appeal to healthcare professionals who want to develop a deeper understanding of chronic wound healing and conditions affecting skin integrity.This programme allows flexibility to study related specialist content to broaden student’s clinical expertise which is invaluable in today’s competitive workplace and brings a richness to the overall programme from an inter-professional and intra-professional perspective.
This programme aims to:
•The normal entry requirements for the programme are: A degree in a healthcare discipline (or equivalent) and be registered with a professional and statutory body and The equivalent of 2 years Full Time post qualifying experience including a minimum of 6 months Full Time (or equivalent) in a substantive speciality post in skin integrity or wound management (primary or secondary care). Current clinical experience in a clinical setting with access to patients with chronic wounds / compromised skin integrity.
