This programme explores the use of health technologies to improve healthcare experiences and outcomes and the sustainability of health technology adoption to effect service transformation. This is achieved through focussing specifically on the following:
The need to consider implementation issues to successfully effect service transformation.
The importance of a user-centred approach in which user considerations are placed at the centre of technological shifts to avoid healthcare exclusion.
Innovation and entrepreneurship in health technology development and application.
The programme themes of transformation, user-centred approach, and innovation run through modules making up this programme of study.
In this programme you will:
Core knowledge and understanding is acquired through lectures, tutorials, group work and guided independent learning and assessed through coursework.
The entry requirement for this course is a Bachelor (Honours) Degree at a 2:2 or above in a subject related to nursing, midwifery, or allied health professions with eligibility for, or a live professional professional registration with, the NMC or HCPC equivalent.
