The facilities for the school of life sciences are one of the best in the UK Lack of support throughout the year specifically for 1st years

The university is amazing, particularly for science/engineering/medical subjects! Great facilities and lecturers who are really passionate about the subject. I’ve loved studying anatomy at UoD

There are a number of dedicated places for study outside of the multiple libraries, meaning that even when the library has felt overwhelming, there have been spaces open in which to work. The campus is compact and is in close proximity to the city centre, meaning most lectures have been in easy walking distance. The regular student newsletter keeps everyone updated on the going's on around campus, and is useful for tracking things such as strike dates and events.

When I joined it was 2020 so everything was shut, not the most ideal freshers experience but the university was extremely sympathetic with this and made sure to make up for it for our 2nd year. Needless to say they delivered. The transport links through dundee are phenomenal which is extremely useful for students being away from home for the first time having opportunities to head back home with ease. The CAHID department was what sold me for this university (It was my first choice uni in my UCAS application). Their application of Taeil cadavers makes for a much more in depth learning experience as the bodies are still articulable. As a university they recently renovated their gym facilities which was a problem I had in first year with their old equipment. In terms of improvement, I would like to see more events hosted by the university. Events that bring all year groups together (not just club openings)

The best experience I’ve had is in the labs the lectures were so helpful and the material was really engaging I’ve not had much of a freshers due to covid.
