MSc Artificial Intelligence (2 years) is a two-year conversion programme. It has been created to provide the perfect stepping stone for students aiming for a career in artificial intelligence, who may not be coming directly from a computing background. Whether your experience lies in psychology, linguistics, science, Mathematics, technology or the arts, this pathway programme is a rare opportunity to become well-versed in the advanced, challenging field of AI.
Our cutting-edge MSc aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding and practical skills to develop intelligent software and systems. With a focus on real-world applications, the programme covers key topics like machine learning, data mining, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics and more.
Students benefit from our world-class research in artificial intelligence and close industry partnerships. As the home of the National Robotarium, we offer unrivalled opportunities to gain hands-on experience with robotics and automation. Our specialist areas align with high-demand skills in AI, equipping graduates for careers in this exciting and rapidly-evolving field.
Admission requires an honours degree at UK 2:2 level (minimum), with evidence of numeracy and familiarity with a programming language. This programme is designed for students with a non-Computer Science background who would benefit from a foundational year to help them to make a successful transition into AI, and therefore students will only be recruited into Year 1 of this programme.
