A doctoral research project is a big commitment. However, you will be highly supported by our dedicated Graduate School, with subject expertise from your supervisory team, and by a welcoming international community of over 300 doctoral students.

  • An exploration of the newly qualified nurse/midwife and their readiness to prescribe
  • Exploring nursing identity/professionalism since Covid-19
  • Exploring the lived experience of Long Covid for people experiencing poverty
  • Food insecurity and long-term health condition management in the UK
  • Health professionals’ knowledge & practice supporting clients affected by socio-economic hardship
  • Impact of the school nurse role in delivering the mental health and wellbeing pathway to children
  • Maternal and infant food insecurity: Implications for UK policy and health care practice
  • Persistent pain following Covid-19 infection
  • The role of health professionals in discharge planning for people at end of life care post COVID-19
  • The use of National Early Warning Score for the management of sepsis within primary care setting

Normal entry requirements are a Master's degree or first or upper second class honours degree in the relevant subject discipline from a UK or overseas University, or degree equivalent qualification, subject to the approval of Robert Gordon University. Applicants holding qualifications other than those above shall be considered on their merits and in relation to the nature and scope of the proposed research programme.
