Master by Research (MRes) is a one-year research-focused postgraduate programme delivered at the Institute of Cancer Therapeutics. The ICT is world-renowned for cancer research, training, and partnerships with industry. The MRes Drug Development will provide you with the opportunity to undertake a major research project in one of our research groups. The programme is designed for students who wish to undertake a PhD degree or those who wish to enter employment in an advanced capacity in industry or the public sector in the field of life sciences. The main aim of the programme is to provide a student experience organised around research-engaged learning where the classroom and lab are ‘sites’ of the production and application of new knowledge. To achieve this, the curriculum is designed around the principle of ‘spiral learning’ where core skills, knowledge, and competences are reinforced and developed as the student moves chronologically and sequentially through the programme.
