We offer PhD, MPhil and MA by Research, which can be taken either full or part time. We offer campus-based and distance learning programmes.Join a thriving intellectual community. You will be a member of our new Research Centre for Applied Social Sciences, an interdisciplinary hub for ground-breaking theoretical and applied research. We are also home to the Policy Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU), the Manchester Centre for Youth Studies and the Crime & Well-Being Big Data Centre. Our research is characterised by a particular commitment to research that makes a difference and often that which engages in a two-way relationship with local communities.Engage in innovative public engagement programmes.
