MPhil Finance, Accounting and Banking

In the area of Finance, Accounting and Banking we coordinate the research interests of academics and students in accountancy, finance, banking, business and management studies in both developed and developing countries.

The main goals are to improve the understanding of challenges to inclusive and sustainable development and also to explore and develop viable practical solutions. We have a growing community of researchers who produce high quality international and world-leading research.

The MPhil is positioned between a taught or research master's and a PhD. You will critically investigate and evaluate an approved topic. You will also demonstrate an understanding of research methods appropriate to your chosen field. MPhil is awarded on successful completion of a programme of supervised research. It is assessed via a thesis and a viva voce (oral examination). Throughout your MPhil journey, you will be supported with a programme of research training. This will enable you to develop transferable skills for your future career path.
