In addition, a number of members in this unit are involved in research on earnings management, auditing, taxation, the costs and benefits of computerised accounting systems, including experience and employability skills for graduates.
The MPhil is positioned between a taught or research master's and a PhD. You will critically investigate and evaluate an approved topic. You will also demonstrate an understanding of research methods appropriate to your chosen field. MPhil is awarded on successful completion of a programme of supervised research. It is assessed via a thesis and a viva voce (oral examination). Throughout your MPhil journey, you will be supported with a programme of research training. This will enable you to develop transferable skills for your future career path.
Applicants need a recognised UK first degree, second class honours or above; or a UK Master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
