This course offers you the opportunity to develop clinical midwifery practice in a variety of healthcare settings and through simulated practice using our state of the art facilities. You will be supported by a team of midwife lecturers who have a wealth of expertise in both clinical practice and current research.Midwives are autonomous practitioners who practice in a multi-disciplinary care setting and midwifery is a very distinct independent health profession which possesses its own knowledge skills and competencies. Award of Diploma with 27 points overall, with 3 Higher Level subjects at grades 6, 5, 4, including Biology at grade 5 and English at grade 4.Standard Level Maths at grade 4 also required.

Grades H2, H3, H3, H3 at Higher Level including English and Biology.O3 in two Ordinary Level subjects, including Maths.

Minimum grades DMM (Distinction, Merit, Merit) in Health and Social Care AND A Level Biology/Applied Science/Life and Health Sciences at grade C or above.*GCSE grade C/4 in Maths also required.Minimum grades DMM (Distinction Merit Merit) in Applied Sciences AND A Level English or another Literary subject* at grade C or above.
