the uni is all about student satisfaction, unfortunately there seems to be course modules being cut and lecturers losing jobs due to lack of funding, which is unfortunate as the vice Chancellor earns roughly 9x the amount lecturing staff do

It is very inclusive and has great study spots for groups or individuals! It could be improved by adding more funding to the bus routes/creating a university owned bus line

Student support in this uni is excellent, whatever problem I have encountered, someone has always been quick to reply and solve the issue, ensuring I get the help I need, especially as I am under the Disability bracket of students. I was granted alternative assessments and extenuation options very quickly when I have encountered health and life issues that have impacted my studies, so I am very thankful for the help, which made me a lot less anxious and it even enhanced my studying techniques and confidence. However, I do believe that some improvements could be made, such as the module options for final year students. Sadly, I have been left with little choices due to timetable crashes, which lead me to choosing options I don’t resonate with, therefore timetables could be made more effective to ensure students do get the most out of their time while studying in Swansea Uni so that they can actually study their desired fields.

Swansea is a fantastic place to study due to its unique location, fantastic student facilities (which are always cleaned or being renovated/modernised), outstanding teaching staff who will go above and beyond to support you and draw the very best out of you. Some difficulties of studying in Swansea can include reaching Singleton campus (either by bus or car) as the traffic and parking are extremely poor. Third party facilities such as eateries and shops are far too expensive when one could enter the city centre and pay more than half the price within the same chain/brand or perhaps a better brand. Overall, Swansea university (Singleton campus) is home to an extremely vibrant and progressive community where students are treated equally and with the utmost respect and professionalism; wellbeing is an important element of the university’s mission and they aim to ensure students and staff each have the opportunity to receive the support and guidance they require. The university also provides opportunities and support for any and all situations or aspirations one may have

Swansea is a very person first university, from the application process, to the course structure, to the employability and well-being services, everything takes into consideration what is needed and requested for by the students. There’s also so many different types of people to meet from all cultures and backgrounds and there’s a variety of opportunities to get involved with varying from societies, to sports, to markets, to internships and jobs. I’ve grown so much in the last two years, academically, professionally and socially and I’ve gained such a supportive network of inspiring people. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to attend and wouldn’t change it for anything!
