Overview

This course will cover a range of topics at the cutting edge of the discipline using the latest digital tools. You'll study core aspects of Mechanical Engineering along with their application in design and manufacturing. The project module will also develop your research skills and you'll learn how to apply the latest technologies to real and current engineering problems.

Project work will be a strong focus of the course and you'll learn interactively by applying the skills you develop using our recently upgraded lab facilities.

Career ready

This course equips you for a wide range of engineering roles throughout the engineering and manufacturing sector.

As part of the course, you will undertake a project that tackles a real-world problem. These projects can be sponsored by external clients and we encourage and support you to find your own client and sponsor. This relevant work experience will enhance your skills, build up a valuable network of contacts and further boost your employability.

Potential engineering roles include project manager, design engineer, manufacturing engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, electronic engineer, product engineer and maintenance engineer.
