If you enjoy being hands on with technology and creating solutions to complex problems, you should consider mechanical engineering. Learn to design and manufacture mechanical products and degree level and excel in this field. Engineers are involved in a number of design and development activities and this course make you a well-rounded engineer able to exercise leadership, initiative, personal responsibility and decision-making in complex and unpredictable situations. This course offers the option to specialise in Systems or Design. This new course for 2021 combines our previous courses BEng/MEng Mechanical Systems Engineering and BEng/MEng Computer-Aided Mechanical Engineering to bring you the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to excel as a graduate in the mechanical engineering field. The new course will be Accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, this course will also meet the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Graduates of the previous courses have found success in a variety of local, national and international industries and consultancies, such as mechanical, aerospace, electronics, offshore, local authority, manufacturing and building services.
