Course overview
This accredited integrated master’s covers mechanical, computational and sustainable life-cycle engineering in this high-tech field.
Over four years, students develop professional engineering skills, with a focus on innovative and sustainable solutions to future mechanical engineering systems.
Individual and group engineering design projects demonstrate students’ expertise to future employers. Whilst a fourth year, at master’s level, it helps to transition from study to professional practice.

Our mechanical and design engineering graduates are equipped with the skills demanded not only for the present but the future, and we are proud of the success they enjoy at the forefront of their profession, working in the UK and across the world.
Our graduates shall get opportunities to work as a design and development engineer, or a mechanical engineering systems integrator, or a mechanical or design engineer. Aerospace, automotive, consumer appliances, defence, manufacturing, or renewable energy sectors are few sectors that will welcome our engineers.

Access to Higher Education Diploma in a Physics and Mathematics based discipline for entry to the BEng only. The minimum academic requirement is to achieve 60 credits overall, with 45 credits at Level 3, of which 33 credits must be at Distinction and 12 credits at Merit or higher. Applications are considered on a case by case basis.
A minimum of grade 4 (C) in English Language and Mathematics unless BTEC is taken in which case a grade 6 (B) in Mathematics is required.
