Swansea Business School (SBS) has delivered its MBA (Master of Business Administration) programme to students from around the world for over 20 years.
This internationally respected general management qualification enhances the skills and competencies of experienced managers and provides a launch into a management career for more recent graduates.
MBA (Tourism Management) and MBA (International Hospitality Management) pathways are also available within the MBA.
UWTSD’s flexible, modern approach to delivering this well-established and successful qualification gives our MBA students the choice of studying on-campus, online and/or through blended modes (a mix of on-campus and online modules).
What you will learn
The MBA programme covers the general business/management curriculum, with an opportunity to specialise.
Pathways in Tourism Management and International Hospitality Management are also available.
All students are encouraged to apply concepts learned, as well as become familiar with theoretical paradigms.
The content will improve students’ potential to manage and lead organisations effectively through the development of abilities and the extension of knowledge, and understanding, of a wide range of management skills, ideas and theories. The course delivery integrates practical project work and academic rigour.

The MBA will provide students with an opportunity to study broad-ranging areas of business management that will enhance both their academic and employability skills. Students will address high level global and strategic issues that face organisations in the 21st century as well as contemporary issues in a wide variety of different business areas. Examples of modules studied include those in the fields of strategic management, human resources, financial management and marketing.
Applications from individuals of all disciplines are encouraged as long as they hold a degree and/or professional qualifications. We also encourage applications from individuals with professional, leadership and managerial experience who may be admitted onto a master’s programme at the discretion of the programme director. Applicants must be over 21 years old and possess one or more of the following: Recognised honours degree (minimum of a 2:2) or equivalent. Professional qualification. The university’s diplomas/certificates in business management. Applicants who are over 25 years old and do not meet the above criteria may be admitted to the course provided their professional or managerial experience is deemed appropriate.
