It is taught through real-world challenges and practical problem-solving, using dynamic case studies. The aim is to help you navigate the rapidly-changing business environment.You could be exploring anything from how to expand a company overseas, sell off a loss-making operation or tackle trade issues. You will also develop your understanding of strategic decision-making and how to deliver against key drivers of quality, cost and timescale.
This module aims to take a strategic view of Supply Chain Management and its role in supporting and driving sustainability in achieving competitive advantage. You will be able to develop in-depth understanding and knowledge of the Supply Chain structures and processes within the context of sustainability, technological and digital innovation (such as the role of AI in managing quality, costs and delivery of complex supply chain structures. Critical areas such as optimising and managing effective distribution channels, developing the purchasing function to establish a competitive procurement strategy, managing supplier relationships and reverse supply chain management, risk management will be incorporated to assess implications of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in global supply chain management.

These concepts are applied to the main ways to manage risk such as insurance and hedging within financial markets. The aim of the module is to provide clear strategies for decision-makers to deal with risk and uncertainty despite a rapidly changing and unpredictable external environment
This module is focused on Strategic Management and involves understanding how organisations strategise both in a local and international context followed by the implementation and practice of strategy towards value creation and sustained competitive advantage
The MBA dissertation represents an opportunity for all MBA students to select a suitable topic and demonstrate the full suite of all five management and leadership competencies derived from the programme. Topics will be wide-ranging drawing on different aspects of the business but all aiming to address a specific business challenge or problem. Following a Dissertation proposal presentation and allocation of a Dissertation supervisor, the assessment requires a 15,000-word Dissertation submission. A final viva completes this element of the MBA study.

To create value, you will engage in the lean start up methodology to develop a concept, prototype, a minimum viable product (MVP), and engage with the stakeholders for whom you are creating value to test and validate assumptions and potentially learning from failure.
