University of Reading

The University of Reading is a great place to study because of the number of facilities available. Such as the library, study rooms, social spots and places to eat! I primarily work at the Institute of Education on London Road Campus and the facilities there really help me especially during placement. For example, the Learning Hub allows me to loan items for free to use on placement, which is especially useful when school's do not have access to them. I also enjoy the community feel of the university; the number of societies to join, clubs and activities are endless. Most of my friends I have made are through these clubs and societies. Improvement wise there is only one thing I can think of and that is opening up more rooms to socialise in during lecture breaks at London Road. The common room is amazing however sometimes it can get a bit busy. Overall, I love studying at the University of Reading!!

University of Reading is a wonderful place to be in. It offers students an esteemed education with the best of academic lecturers and high quality course material and a wealth of experience on campus life helping mould students with the required technical skills that are attractive to employers. The higher education received at UoR opens up a world of opportunities for students to reach ambitious goals in their careers but also provides globally well recognised qualifications and enables them to be the change they perceive in various disciplines. The multi-cultural inclusive environment helps students settle faster to life at university whether they are from the UK or International students and provides opportunity to learn and grow respecting diversity. It also helps networking and builds strong links professionally through a vibrant alumni. Therefore I am grateful to be part the UoR . In my view, the university experience could be improved by increasing practical participation in field/industry visits. This I believe would provide a more hands on learning experience. However, I do understand the modules cover a wide spectrum and time remains the key constraint for any additional learning opportunities. Thank you UoR. I am delighted to be part of you and forever will be!

I believe that better staff vetting should be employed, as there have been incidents where staff have not behaved professionally or in a safe manner
