Mathematics with a Foundation Year

All lectures should have to be recorded rather than it being up to the lecturer. We should have a results day or at least be notified by evision when results are out.

The best aspects are the support from the lecturers in my school, and the support from the study abroad team when I did an exchange year in the USA. The worst aspects of my uni experience is the cost of on-campus food and all the concrete buildings in campus that are a bit ugly. Also some of the classrooms are really bad, with uncomfortable chairs and tables, and some without windows/natural light.

The campus is so so pretty but very concretey in places. The lecturers always have time to help you if you're struggling and most use an open door policy in my school. However, student support is limited and even when problems are reported they aren't followed up well.

They do have some really nice lectures theatres in both the enterprise centre and the lecture theatres. However some are not as good like the top four in Julian Study Centre. The campus is quite nice especially the lake it is only a shame about the amount of concrete in the square but once you leave that bit it is really nice. I dont know all that much about student life as I am quite introverted but I feel uni is much more catered for outgoing and extraverted people. There has been 5 or so events which I felt more comfortable as an introvert in but I get the feeling that is what is expected from most unis. The student union I have only heard complaints about though I haven't interacted with them much.

There's lots of green space to escape to when you need a break. Also, Norwich in general has a big town feel to it, and with the riverside there's lots of places in the city to relax. For studying, the library is big and has various study spaces, so it doesn't feel too closed in. There's also a few course specific study rooms which are more cosy. I personally haven't experienced much of the campus nightlife, what with covid and all, but it does exist, so... On campus accommodation is reasonable? I was in Colman house and there was one kitchen between 12, with one small oven, a grill, not enough stoves and one sink. So... not the best, but besides that, it was alright. Plus it was at the edge of campus with easy access to the lake. Overall, UEA is pretty good.
