more language & psychological wellbeing support should be given to international students, especially those who come from Asia (big cultural difference) and who didn't come to London in the 1st year due to covid19 pandemic. This can be a group of people who suffer from difficulty to be acclimatized, while their study burden has been heavy :(

Obviously not the experience that I had hoped for but as a student who has been lucky enough to remain on campus for the majority of the year and in halls where there have been a lot of students still around, I have really enjoyed my first year of uni and now that societies can run again, I’m finally starting to feel what a ‘typical’ uni year might be like once exams are over. As someone who was worried about how difficult their course was going to be, I do feel that I was thrown into the deep end and there were times when I really questioned if I was smart enough to be here - this was definitely made worse by lack of meaningful interactions with people on my course, I didn’t really have anyone that I knew related to the struggles I was facing!

UCL facilities are generally fantastic with a lot of funding behind uni schemes. The uni is very large meaning student life can get lonely but at the same time it means there is a lot of opportunities and societies that otherwise wouldn’t be available. There are a lot of uni strikes at the moment which is frustrating for students but also an illustration of perhaps issues in the uni more widely.

Being in the capital city, attending UCL covers everything a student wants. The university itself is situated in Bloomsbury so you are never short of places to eat or activities to do! The university has a great support system and there is always somewhere to go to answer whatever queries you may have. The university is situated next to University of London Union so all their facilities are easily accessible too. As for studying, lecturers all have open office times so if you are stuck or want to learn more they are willing to take time out to talk to you. Lecture facilities are modern and most lectures are podcast so can be viewed online. Being in London means life outside of studying is amazing. From museums to clubs you are guaranteed you won't be bored. Studying in London is the best of both worlds.

The lecturers explain everything clearly. Everything is fine except the weather! Don't attend the students union much and I live by myself renting the house out of my own income.
