You'll develop your skills in mathematics and economics, as well as learn how to code.This four-year degree includes an integrated, year-long work placement, allowing you to graduate with experience in the industry. We offer a variety of placements in areas such as finance, logistics, and technology, and across a range of national and international organisations, such as Microsoft, IBM, SAP and the NHS.98% of our research is world-leading or internationally excellent, and 100% of our research impact has been classed as outstanding or very considerable (REF 2021, combining 4-star and 3-star submissions – Mathematical Sciences). Our world-leading research informs modules and includes areas such as:- calculus- analysis- linear algebra- differential equations- numerical analysis.In the Department of Economics, you will be taught by academics who are informing policy decisions by governments, major multinational organisations, and agencies such as the UN and the World Bank, allowing you to gain a thorough understanding of both microeconomics and macroeconomics, with a choice between econometrics or economic theory in your second year.
