Active in high-quality research across the broad spectrum of mathematics, we have an excellent international reputation.Our PhD programme will allow you to delve deeper into a topic you are passionate about and make new discoveries, with our excellent state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities providing a platform for world-class research. The knowledge, skills and expertise gained can be transferred into a career in mathematics, research or academia.Our key research themes include analysis, dynamical systems, geometry and mathematical physics, linear and nonlinear waves, mathematical modelling, statistics, and stochastic analysis. We also host regular seminar series and colloquia, as well as international conferences and workshops.
A minimum of a high 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) in mathematics.
