Our stimulating Materials Science and Engineering MEng degree programme provides you with a thorough understanding of the properties of materials – from metals to plastics – essential for the development of new and improved products.If you like solving problems creatively and relish the opportunity to combine science, maths and engineering to understand how the materials that surround us – from bricks to body scanners – behave, and how they can be used and improved to develop new products, then this Materials Science and Engineering MEng degree has been made for you. You must also pass the practical element of any reformed science A levels which include Biology, Chemistry and Physics taught from 2015.General Studies not accepted, but a good performance may be taken into account if you fail to meet the conditions of the offer.
Accepted in place of A levels with the following grade equivalencies: D2 = A*; D3 = A; M2 = B. Combinations of A levels and Principle subjects are accepted. NB required subjects must be offered (see A level Section)
