Our European Union Law MA is open to students who have previously completed the European Union Law Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) at distinction or merit level. Students on the MA course are required to write a dissertation under supervision. The European Union Law distance-learning programme covers a wide range of important EU Law topics, such as free movement of goods and people, competition law, anti-discrimination law, external relations and judicial review. You will gain an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the most important theoretical and practical aspects of EU law, with a particular emphasis on the Treaties of the European Union. This programme is generally studied by professionals alongside their full time work commitments.
You will have studied our European Union Law Postgraduate Diploma units which comprise text, copies of relevant Regulations, Commission Decisions and Notices, Judgments of the Court of First Instance and the European Court of Justice, practical examples, questions and model answers testing your knowledge as you progressed. The European Union Law MA is only open to students who have successfully completed the European Union Postgraduate Diploma at distinction or merit level. Students on the MA course are required to write a dissertation under supervision.
A minimum 2:1 undergraduate Bachelors (honours) degree. If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).
