The course will enable you to gain an understanding of the ecological processes that make up the marine environment. It will provide you with an awareness of the ecological, economic, cultural, political and ethical considerations of conservation. As a foundation degree it includes practical study in understanding the marine and coastal environment, as well as academic study. With ample access to the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a great range of physical resources for study on this programme.ModulesStudents will study a range of zoological and environmental subjects such as, Marine Animal Ecology and Behaviour, Marine Habitats, Marine Environmental Science in year 1. In year 2 students cover a more specialist range of subjects, including Zoology of Marine Vertebrates and Invertebrates, Marine and Coastal Conservation, Geomorphology and Marine Animal Health and Welfare.
