Providing expertise across a wide range of management topics and approaches, including strategic management; entrepreneurship; innovation; international management; corporate governance; organisational behaviour; technology and work; gender, work and organisations; consumer behaviour; operations research and business data analytics; critical marketing and critical management studies.
Management Studies is located within an integrated Business School which allows it to draw upon relevant core disciplines for research and teaching.
Research programmes have been funded by the Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC), Nuffield, Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Scottish Home and Health Department, DTI and by a range of industrial and commercial sponsors.
All applicants must have at least a good Honours degree in Management or a related subject; if English is not their first language they must also show evidence of attaining standards in English. Details of English language criteria Applicants for the PhD should have prior training in research methods, they must also provide a detailed research proposal and two academic references from their most recent academic institution.
