Our MSc Management focuses on the study of people, processes, systems, and operations. This module aims to equip students with an understanding of the important themes in corporate governance such as the nature and importance of Corporate Governance in both a UK and international context; recent changes in governance applying to major UK and international companies, and the need for ethical business behaviour.
This module is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to produce a focused project on a topical area in management.
The aim of the module is to provide students with a critical understanding and key skills in managing people in organisations: the role of people management in achieving strategic aims, strategic change and enhanced performance; the international context of people management: culture, institutions and ?promising practices?; managing organizational design and its strategic role; managing people in corporate context; managing people in the contemporary technological context; contemporary issues in the management of people and organisations and employee engagement & psychological contract.
Marketing Management and Strategy will provide an understanding of how an organisation implements its marketing strategy and, if necessary, recalibrates it. The module aims: to provide an understanding of the core concepts and skills in marketing management; to develop skills in strategic marketing planning and analysis; to develop skills required to analyse marketing problems; to develop the ability to learn and to manage one's own self-learning and to develop the ability to work together effectively, efficiently and cooperatively as a team member, and, when appropriate, organise, guide and motivate other team members.

The aim of this module is to provide students with a critical understanding of the key concepts and theories of stakeholder management, reputation management and business ethics. Topics covered: Political economy and moral philosophy; Models of ethical behaviour; ethical dilemmas; Corporate social responsibility; Corporate governance; Reputation management and corporate branding; Ethical leadership and organizational development; Organisational culture; Stakeholder management.
The aim of this module is to provide students with a critical and reflective orientation to the deep understanding of complex approaches to strategic management and organisational analysis. The module will develop a critical appreciation of core concepts and essential strategic and organisational management tools for understanding data and analysing decisions. Students will acquire the analytic skills needed to accomplish, defend and critique a strategic business analysis.
