The Management, Employment and Organisation (MEO) Section is home to a number of research groups and centres and undertakes research in three broad areas:

  • Public Sector Management

Distinctive features

  • Teaching opportunities may be available, depending on section requirements. This is reviewed on a year to year basis.
  • The section runs a seminar series attracting visiting speakers from around the world. We also have regular visiting international academics. These visitors give PhD students regular access to leading academics from around the world.
  • Several section research projects have made a direct impact on decisions made by private sector organisations, employers' federations, trade union bodies, and government agencies. This impact-led research reflects the strong links that members of the section have with local, national and international employers and regulatory bodies.
