On this course, you'll join a community of MA TESOL students at all stages of their careers, along with British Council-accredited English language teachers, experienced teacher educators, and leading researchers. You'll develop as a teacher and prepare for the next step in your career.

How you learn

Our lectures are timetabled so that you can attend university just two days a week. This allows you to balance the course with work and other commitments. Typical topics include English language teaching methodologies, how second languages are learned, teacher development and language analysis.

All modules allow you to focus on specific areas in TESOL, such as English for Academic Purposes, Young Learners or Assessment, and the flexible research project encourages you to specialise in a research setting of your choice.
