Game audio is a rapidly expanding and extremely creative area of the video games industry. Our Masters in game audio, MA Sound Design for Video Games, is designed to prepare you creatively and technically to work as a sound designer and eventually an audio lead or audio director.
Taught and mentored by top game audio professionals, you will learn how to create the sounds that bring the world of video games to life. You will also learn to use audio middleware software, such as Wwise and FMOD, to implement your sounds into game engines like Unity and Unreal. As a school of game audio we focus on employability and even support you after you graduate with our Employment Support Program.
This course prepares you to go into industry as sound designer for video games. On this course, you will learn:

What happens when I graduate?
On successful completion of your course, you will be awarded a Master of Arts degree from the Arts University Bournemouth. The qualification is fully accredited in the UK (and recognised internationally) and is subject to regular quality control, review and external invigilation to ensure the highest academic standards are maintained. Your degree will list us as the 'Partner' that you studied your degree with.
Ideally, applicants will have completed an undergraduate degree before they apply. However, there is an option for those who do not have a degree, taking into account real-world work experience in related fields, and non-degree professional development courses. This Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is always assessed on a case-by-case basis.
