On this programme you will gain an in-depth knowledge of finance and banking, as well as risk management, elevating your skills in-line with increased workplace demand.
This distinct new MSc programme provides an innovative and flexible approach allowing you to upskill or specialise in your career.
The addition of risk management to this programme makes this a unique degree which will prepare you for a number of roles in business and finance, including risk officer.
Career options
The Banking and Finance pathways will prepare you to work in either corporate finance or in the financial services industry. Whereas the Risk Management pathways will help you secure work in business risk management, project management or hybrid roles.
These pathways combined will allow you to take on general management, hybrid or consultancy roles in a wide range of sectors.
On the MSc, the consultancy project will help prepare you for a career as a consultant, whilst the dissertation option allows you to explore a relevant topic of your choice in-depth and may lead to further research/study (i.e. a doctorate programme).
General entry requirements: You should usually hold a second-class honours degree (certain programmes may require a 2:1) from a recognised British or overseas university. Advice on recognition can be obtained from the Admissions Office. Non-graduates with appropriate professional qualifications will be considered on an individual basis by Programme Conveners; contact details can be found on the individual programme page. Those with a third-class honours degree are encouraged to complete an application as we will consider an applicant's wider circumstances in making a decision on an application.
