MA Music Production and Artist Development explores the full range of studio techniques and processes at the forefront of current music production. You will learn how to unleash your creative potential and cultivate your own individual style to produce great original works that stand out from the crowd. You will develop practical, industry-focussed skills and create work to showcase these as part of a professional portfolio or commercial release. You will have many opportunities to work on real-world projects with students across all our music programmes – there are loads of vocalists, guitarists, drummers, beat-makers, songwriters and many others actively looking for collaborators. All assessment is coursework-based. Relevant, industry-aligned skills lie at the core of all modules. You will develop a well-rounded understanding of how to create great-sounding original music and strategies for turning your creations into commercially viable releases and products. Whether your interests lie in developing your music as a solo artist or working in the studio with others you will learn the tools of the trade in order to stand-out from the rest.
