The free counselling service is a masterful stroke. I know so many unis do not have it despite university students being at a point in their lives where they are really struggling mentally and the counselling service that I have used several times has helped me more than I can express.

I really like the environment and other students here at AUB, staff are friendly and have built up good relationships with their students on my course. Our subject material is always interesting and flexible to our needs and wants as student to better our skills to better prepare us for industry. I only wish we had more mandated in-person sessions with our amazing teachers and had more opportunities to use our universities facilities, for example, I know i would greatly benefit from more life drawing / still life drawing sessions, perhaps with smaller groups where the teacher is not afraid to scrutinize and evaluate work one on one with students.

We are provided with access to lots of different resources and equipment, however, it would be better if we were given more guidance and teaching on how to use these resources.

The staff are all super nice and helpful even if you’re not from their course, there are plenty of extra curricular events/societies and the campus is full of relaxing places to study or just sit down for a break. The food is good and the animation staff host monthly movie screenings- what more could you ask for!

Best- I love the look of AUB The teaching is genuinely pretty good THE LIBRARY! Worst- Feel like the university needs some more facilities such as more parking and a sports hall space for societies. Sometimes communication isn't the best. Either it be between lecturers or student union.
