What happens on the course?
This dynamic course emphasises engagement with existing and emerging research into areas of law, encouraging you to build a strong foundation of knowledge with which to challenge current intellectual thinking. Internationally recognised research underpins a curriculum designed for students to make their own, offering a selection of modules so that you may specialise in your fields of interest, each module crafted to provide advanced knowledge and skills directly relevant to those fields.
You will gain critical awareness of challenging and contemporary themes across a range of legal areas, of which you will be able to specialise in your research through your selection of modules, informing the development of your future career even as your fellow students specialise elsewhere. Teaching will be delivered by research-active staff committed to a high standard of education. This ensures that you will be learning about the latest developments and debates in theory, policy and practice.
A 2:2 or above honours degree in law, or joint law programmes, such as Business and Law or other joint law subjects. Non-standard applicants without the above qualifications but have significant experience in the appropriate subject areas may be accepted on the course if it is considered they may be able to cope with the rigours of the programme. Students may be required to attend an interview.
