The LLM International Finance Law will provide you with the opportunity to explore issues surrounding finance law. This course will cover major regulatory and transactional issues in international financial and banking law. It focuses on the major transactions carried out by investment banks, transnational banks and multinational corporations in the vast global financial markets which have developed in London, New York and Tokyo in recent years, as well as in locations such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Paris and Sydney. You’ll examine the legal structures used in these transactions and the complex legal issues arising in the context of these transactions due to their transnational and multi-jurisdictional nature. Please note that, due to Home Office regulations, students who require a Student Route visa to study with us are not permitted to study online and can only choose face-to-face taught modules.

You will need to provide 5 years of proven professional work experience that is linked to your intended area of study. You must also provide at least one professional reference, that must include being from your most recent employer and links to your intended area of study. You may also be required to attend a formal interview.
