This course provides an introduction to commercial law and managing supply chains. You’ll examine the domestic sale of goods, relevant legislation and compliance the structure of standard terms and conditions for the sale of goods risk management in domestic sale of goods, retention of title and exclusion of liability marketing arrangements: agency agreements, relevant legislation and compliance cross-border commercial transactions harmonisation and uniform law initiatives CIF, FOB and other shipment terms. It will also focus on cross-border transactions under the law of England and Wales, however, other international principles, regulations and conventions will also be studied, such as the Vienna Convention on the International Sale of Goods the UNCITRAL Model Law and the New York Convention in international commercial arbitration. You will need to provide 5 years of proven professional work experience that is linked to your intended area of study. You must also provide at least one professional reference, that must include being from your most recent employer and links to your intended area of study. You may also be required to attend a formal interview.
