This top-up LLM in Financial Services Law, Regulation and Compliance is an online course for those who have already acquired the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Services Law, Regulation and Compliance.

You can study this course from your home, wherever that may be around the world. You won't have to study or attend sessions on campus, so you can still attend to your other responsibilities and work commitments.

Our law courses are ranked ninth in the UK for teaching quality in the Guardian University Guide 2023.

Following the banking crisis, there has been an increased need for professionals in the sector to study and understand the regulation of financial services. This course encourages you to look critically at an area of financial services law, regulation and compliance of your own interest. There is an emphasis on gaining a sound grasp of the relevant academic literature, including substantial use of key scholarly journals in the field.

Youll be supported in undertaking online research using electronic law databases and a virtual learning environment that includes the module handbooks, lecture notes, weblinks, discussion groups, study skills materials and assessment criteria.

Youll also have regular email support from the module tutor and dissertation supervisor, who are expert practitioners in the field.

Like many of our applicants, you may already be working in financial services or the consulting sector. While people take the course for various reasons, it's especially well-suited if you're seeking career advancement.
