Playwork classes will be delivered on Tuesday evenings in year 1 and Thursday evenings in year 2.

OVERVIEW
This two year, part time evening qualification allows managers/leaders and deputy managers/leaders of Playwork and Childcare settings to fulfil the requirements of the Minimum Standards for under 12 Childcare.
It has been developed specifically for learners who are developing, leading and reviewing permanent or temporary play provision within a changing environment. This could include play settings, play grounds, afterschool groups, youth clubs.
You will complete 10 units – 5 of them are knowledge only and will involve written assignments. The other 5 will require you to be assessed in the workplace in order to demonstrate occupational competence.
Units include:
•Engage in personal development in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings Understand the principles and theories underpinning Playwork provision
•Understand how to work with colleagues and other key partners to develop an organisational framework for children and young people's play
•Understand how to establish and develop working relationships to support children and young people's play
•Understand how to develop, manage and review operational plans for play provision
•Understand how to research, design and facilitate possibilities for children and young people self-directed play
