This programme gives you the freedom to build your own bespoke LLM. You can choose from the full range of the School of Law’s London-based LLM modules.Freedom to choose: We have a wide range of LLM modules which will enable you to create your own programmeStudy with a top ten UK law schoolAttend events and guest lectures from leading law firms and companies including Baker McKenzie, Herbert Smith Freehills LL, the BIHR, Clifford Chance and Dentons.What you'll studyThis LLM enables you to build your own customised degree by allowing you to pick from many of the modules offered across all specialisms. You will also be able to do an elective dissertation (30 credits) in any legal topic of your choice.You don’t have to choose your modules until you have learnt about them in greater detail during your induction period. However, not all of the modules listed will be available in any one year and semesters listed can be subject to change.We only allow one application from our range of LLM programmes so please ensure you apply for your main programme of interest. Please note you can request to change programme at offer stage via your MYSIS admissions portal and also request this after enrolment via the School of Law Taught Programme office.If you would like your degree to show expertise in a specific area of law, you should apply for one of our specialised LLM programmes.
Students need to have a 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in Law or a degree with substantial law content. Law graduates with a 2:2 honours degree who also have other legal qualifications and/or substantial professional legal experience may also qualify. Non-law graduates with a minimum second class honours degree, that have also obtained a Merit (or 60 per cent) in the Common Professional Examination (CPE) or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) recognised by the UK professional bodies, may also qualify. Non-law graduates may also be considered on the basis of exceptional professional experience (of at least five years) in a legal area or an area directly related to their programme of study.
