This programme allows you to combine a law degree with an exploration of national and international politics, and a year spent studying abroad at one of our partner institutions.You will gain a comprehensive grounding in the core areas covered by a law degree. As your studies progress, you can choose from a wide range of specialised subject areas of law with an extensive list of over forty optional modules to choose from. Alongside this, you will study key aspects of British and international politics, public policy, political theory, philosophy, and peace and conflict.The third year of this programme is spent studying abroad at one of a range of international institutions available, allowing you to broaden your horizons and pick up new life experiences and skills that can help to give you a competitive advantage when entering the world of work.All our law programmes contain the foundations of legal knowledge needed to enter the legal profession. Our programmes provide a strong foundation for those who wish to go on to take the Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE) and they also satisfy the academic stage of training required by the Bar Standards Board for those looking to become Barristers.The School of Law provides you with exceptional student experience, excellent employability support, and a progressive curriculum.We offer:
• Sector-leading facilities, including an award-winning Law Clinic, authentic Court Rooms and Student Study and Social Spaces.
• An extensive range of work placement opportunities.
• A final year consisting entirely of optional modules, allowing you to shape your own learning in line with your personal interests and aspirations.

You will need to meet a minimum academic threshold in order to participate in a semester or year abroad programme. Available destinations may be limited by external factors, such as travel restrictions and capacity at partner universities. Associated costs of the semester/year abroad (such as travel, visas, host university charges and cost of living abroad in the host country) will vary. Funding may be available.
