Why Law (with placement)?

Our Law course is a qualifying degree recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, which will prepare you for a successful career. You’ll explore fundamental principles of law in England and Wales, including legal methods and skills, constitutional law, criminal law and property law. You can also tailor your study to suit your own individual ambitions and interests, specialising in a range of subjects such as family law, media and entertainment law and company law. With the chance to undertake an insightful field trip to a major legal institution in Europe (additional costs may apply, see course web page for details), for example hearing a live case being argued or witnessing a crimes against humanity trial, our ‘Make It’ programme of experiences really helps our students stand out from the competition. You’ll draw on the expertise of lecturers with extensive professional credentials and research experience, as well as learn from inspiring legal guest speakers. You’ll also hone your courtroom skills in the Moot Court Room at our brand new state-of-the-art School of Business and Technology building at Oxstalls campus in Gloucester, and put your learning into practice by giving advice to real clients at our law clinic, at the Law Centre or the Citizens Advice Bureau.
