Bangor University

My best experience is the friendly staff that guide you around the campus. My least favourite experience is the length between the campuses.

The university has a beautiful campus, excellent teachers, and a well-equipped library with great facilities. It also has Pontio, which is designed to support students in every aspect of their university life. However, one area for improvement could be the lack of recreational activities in Bangor. Introducing more cultural and entertainment programs would help students have more fun and enjoy a richer social experience.

The feel around in the community is very open and accepting. Though it is a small city and you largely need to travel to do anything. but the university itself is a comfortable place to study.

Best and worst aspects of my university experience: Bangor University offers a supportive and welcoming learning environment, especially for mature and non-traditional students. The facilities are excellent, the campus is beautiful, and the location is peaceful, which really helps with focus and wellbeing. Teaching staff are approachable and genuinely interested in student progress. Academic support is strong, and there is good access to learning resources, libraries, and student services. The Students’ Union and wider university community make it easy to feel included. One area for improvement could be clearer communication at times around administrative processes, but overall the support staff are helpful and responsive when contacted. Overall, Bangor University provides a high-quality student experience, combining strong academic standards with a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. I would recommend it to students who value both learning and wellbeing.

I am an international student from Pakistan. Having a degree from any UK university was my dream. Choosing Bangor University was not an only option for me, I had many other options too and I got offer letter from other places also. But there were multifarious reasons for choosing this university. My primary aim was to get world-class education from the UK so that I could give my optimal output at my country, Pakistan. I applied various filters on my choices, then it came out to be Bangor University. Academic filter: The university ranks in top 600 universities in the world. It stands at number 14th in law, and overall at number 15in the UK. Location: I wanted to read somewhere in serenity. I found that Bangor is not over populated. Moreover, North Wales is full of natural beauty. Cost of living: The cost of living in Bangor Accommodation Halls is nominal and it is value to money. Student life: My life at Bangor has been full of energy, vigour, and adventure. There are so many activities to keep yourself engaged in that you do not find time to overthink. Academic Support: For anyone whose primary objective is to earn a degree in good grades and have true knowledge about his field, he would find academic sources very welcoming and solution oriented. I am thankful to all those academicians who supported me. You have never-ending sources of learning. Many of the paid websites can be accessed using your university email. Others: The university staff is always helpful. The rules are not so stringent; you cannot deviate from the rules, but they give you flexibility, which is very much required to students, especially international students. Conclusion: In a nutshell, if you want to have a grip on knowledge and research, do select BU. You will not only earn a degree, but BU will enable you to prove to be good and efficient member of a society.
