Explore the fundamental principles of law in England and Wales, as well as international law, on a law degree designed to enable prospective lawyers to obtain the legal knowledge, skills and attributes needed to pursue a career in law. The LLB Law degree has been designed to allow students to engage with the numerous aspects of law, including both the theoretical underpinning as well as practical execution and critical analysis of the law. Our commitment to developing the skills as well intellectual ability of our students leads to high levels of student satisfaction with the programme. The Individual Rights pathway will enable you to tailor your studies to obtain specialist knowledge on how different areas of the law ensure and uphold the rights of individuals. You will also have the opportunity undertake an extended piece of research via the dissertation module on a self-selected rights-based topic. By the end of your studies, you will be able to make an informed assessment of how far the law is able to protect the individual rights of citizens, in both a private and public sphere.There is the opportunity to spend a year on placement through the four-year sandwich course option.
