Combined DegreesYou will be able to develop your legal skills and understanding whilst dividing your time equally between law and another subject. Law permeates and affects culture and society, and is a perfect complementary field of study to many other subjects. Studying law at 50% works particularly well with a number of other programmes in the humanities and social sciences, for example criminology, business and politics. Please note that if you opt for a 50:50 (Joint) programme involving Law (programmes titled "Law and", these do not satisfy the academic requirements of becoming either a barrister or solicitor. You will graduate with a BA (Hons). It is also not possible to increase the Law component of a 50/50 programme at the end of your first or second year, due to the requirement to complete specific modules as part of an LLB. If you choose a 75:25 "Law with" programme, you will graduate with a LLB (Hons).This programme is available with either a Year in China or a Year Abroad. The Year in China offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLU's BA China Studies degree classes. XJTLU is a fully English-speaking university, located in Suzhou. The Year Abroad offers students the opportunity to spend a full academic year studying at one of our partner universities around the world, following a mixture of culture and/or discipline-related modules. If you wish to study this programme with a Year in China or a Year Abroad you will have the opportunity to apply after you arrive at Liverpool.
