Explore landscape architecture and understand how to design solutions that address our environmental challenges from climate change to biodiversity loss.

As part of this course, you’ll:
Explore your creativity, spatial design skills and your individual approach to develop a passion for landscape design
Gain the practical skills required to become an effective landscape architect, from nature-based solutions and retro-fitting our cities, to health and wellbeing and the radical changes needed in our rural landscapes

Be taught by staff from diverse backgrounds with experience from landscape practice and research

Teaching & Learning
Independent study is a crucial part of learning at university and you will be required to undertake many hours of self-directed research and reading, and preparation and writing of assessments. Your course is delivered through a number of modules, which will help you to plan your time and establish a study routine. Outside of your lectures, workshops and tutorials, a range of support is available to assist with your independent study. Our subject-specific librarians will be on hand to direct you to the specialist learning and study-skill resources. You’ll also be assigned an academic advisor to give you tailored feedback and support.
Career Prospects
Accredited by the Landscape Institute, this course will enable you to work towards full UK chartered membership. You’ll develop as an enthusiastic, confident, independent thinker, team player and creative problem solver for landscape solutions – attributes which are highly sought after by employers in the industry.
